Our research work across Rwanda spans natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, and engineering. Regardless of discipline, we prioritize clear research questions, appropriate methods, and outputs that district officials and cooperative leaders—not only specialists—can use.

A strong research product for Rwandan clients typically includes:

Working alongside implementers

We prefer research embedded in real programs across Rwanda rather than isolated studies. That proximity improves data quality and increases the likelihood that recommendations are adopted by the institutions responsible for delivery.

Ethics and local relevance

Research in Rwanda must respect community time, data privacy, and local priorities. We design consent processes, feedback loops, and dissemination plans—in Kinyarwanda or English as appropriate—that treat participants as partners, not subjects.

Building institutional learning

The best research assignments leave Rwandan clients with stronger internal capacity: better data systems, trained staff, and a habit of reviewing evidence before scaling interventions from one district to the next.
